Texas, according to the latest analysis by the Arlington, Va.-based Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is seeing the good and the bad of the construction industry — being singled as both the big winner and the big loser in AGC’s latest employment analysis.
Between June and July of this year, Texas posted the largest construction job losses — shedding a total of 6,000 jobs.
The yearly figures for Texas, however, were a bit more encouraging. The Lone Star State added the most construction jobs between July 2010 and 2011 — to the tune of 23,800 jobs...
