Author: Texas Governer Rick Perry is running for his third term this year looking like the happy warrior unlike many of his government counterparts.
Sex and bribery scandals have rocked three governors; four have resigned or announced they won’t seek re-election because of aspirations for moving to a higher office — and term limits are about to terminate California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Sarah Palin is the last to go out, with her surprise resignation last week. I guess she thinks she can be president in 2012.
Perry is looking to possibly join the run in 2012 as well, and maybe he can do it. He is in the second largest state and Texas does have a good economy compared to the rest of the U.S.
Perry is happy to stay governor for now, and that seems to be his plan.
